Description

"Sea of Stars" The sky was so clear last night and the milky way was so big bright and beautiful that I had to go out and take some photos. Since it was 1am and I'd just gotten home from work I was pretty tired so I just took this shot from my backyard since I was just too bushed to drive anywhere but I'm pretty pleased with the result regardless, my little 7D constantly amazes me with it's ability to do things that really should be beyond it, the image quality isn't as good as the 5DIII I'm currently saving up for but it's not all that bad either so I'm considering it a win!

Absolutely fantastic.  My husband gets home from work at hours like that - he's a public transit bus driver here in Perth.  Too bright in the suburbs to get shots like that from my back garden.  The green and blue (presume tree?) in the foreground looks like a blue flamenco dancer with a green skirt, and her arms in the air.
